Halloween was not too bad with this cold(ish) weather! It was about 45 degrees this evening and we decided to participate in an INDOOR trick or treating at the mall! It was actually pretty great and very well organized. Evie cleaned up tonight too. She was Belle from Beauty and the Beast. We had a great time at the mall and will probably use this place as a regular trick or treating spot since its gonna be cold every Halloween! It was certainly a change from the usual heat and massive kid overrun!

Successful Sleeping through the night!
This is the 3rd night in a row that Ollie has slept through the night IN THE BASSINET!! The first night, it was 11-5, then 10-4 and last night, 11-515! He wakes up, eats, then gets in our bed until its time to get up! It his (and my) reward to snuggle all morning!
He is officially 8 weeks old today and 10lbs 2oz (as of last Tuesday). He is getting bigger by the day! My little peanut is no longer a peanut! He is a little dumplin' now!
Ollie is fascinated with Evie and vice versa. She loves to play with him, make sure he's okay when he cries, the works. He loves looking at her and smiles at her all the time. He starts to coo at her and she will coo back and he breaks out in the biggest smile!
He loves hearing Derek's voice when Daddy comes home from work!
My big girl! I can hardly believe she will be 4 in 14 days!
The big giant guard dog....
Some of his 0-3 months clothes are starting to fit...sort of!
Love.....

Diapers, Prevacid, the Bassinet and Evie
Wow. When I first found out I was pregnant, I wanted to use cloth diapers only. I thought, environmentally friendly and when there is a blizzard outside, what's easier to do, laundry or run to the store? Well, I think I made the right decision to use disposable!
Ollie can NOT stand one drop of pee on him. Poop he will sit in for a week, but pee, heck no! He literally goes through a package of huggies (still newborn size...lol) every TWO days. I would have to have at least 50 cloth diapers and waste more water doing laundry every day.
We change him more then I have ever changed a baby in my entire life. The little yellow line on his diaper will be barely blue, just barely and he will have a fit. We can't get a new diaper on him fast enough! Little booger. Luckily, I have enough diaper coupons that I am paying the same price as the store brands each time I have to buy some. Whew. He is still in newborn size. I am patiently waiting for him to jump to size 1. I have so many of those too! We stocked up on 1's more because we thought he would be a bigger baby. Yep, they are HUGE on him still. At his appointment on Tuesday, he was officially 10lbs 2oz!
His acid reflux isn't quite as controlled as the doctor would like, so they changed his medication to Prevacid. He seems to be doing better on it. However, I have learned I need to stop drinking any type of caffeine after about 3pm. His little body doesn't like it and he will still fuss and scream at night when I have too much. It breaks my heart to hear him scream. You know that scream, the one that takes him own breath away.
We are transitioning him to the bassinet, or at least trying to. He sleeps in bed with us and I need to get him out. I think if I had it my way, both kids would be in bed with us, forever. But, I know he needs to be in the bassinet for now. We have had one successful nap and maybe a total of 4 hours of night time sleeping in it. Its not going quite as well as I would like, but, Im trying every day. He and I both sleep so much better and sounder when we are snuggled up in bed together. My little man.....
We had a judicial review (basically a catch up every 6 months on all parties involved with the adoption/fostering) last Monday. The judge asked why the adoption wasn't final yet, called out Wesley House on every one of their excuses and told them he wanted a detailed description of every item that needed to be complete at the next court hearing 11/7 and a reason as to why they are not complete. FINALLY. The adoption is on the right track and the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. Just get off your butts and do something already!

Starting to smile!
Over the last few days, Ollie has started to respond to us cooing at him and is starting to smile and respond to it! I tried my hardest to get a few pictures of him!
These others are from today, Evie loves to help and she almost calms him down when he is upset!

Pictures, Acid Reflux and more pictures
My poor little man! Ollie had the roughest time falling asleep every night for the last few weeks. Every night, he would scream and cry like there is no tomorrow for about 2-3 hours. He would be inconsolable and it broke my heart every night to see him like this. He started to spit up then had projectile vomit and so we made a couple trips to the doctor and he was finally diagnosed with acid reflux. I felt horrible. I should have called the doctor sooner, but, thought I could handle it night after night.
Zantac has been our life saver! This is day two of the medication and he is a whole new baby. He isn't fussy (unless he has 1 drop of pee on him...lol) and last night's bed time went as smooth as possible! He also slept from 1145pm until 615am!!!
I went to the doctor for my 6 week check up today. Got a clean bill of health and I can start to work on my abs now! Weight sure does sit differently after a c-section baby...
I am 6 lbs away from my original pre-baby weight and about 20 from where I want to be.
Oh! Ollie is 22 1/2 inches long now and 9lbs 6oz! Woo Hoo!!
Ollie on 10/10

Already starting to stick his tongue out at me....
Ollie today!
My little man's first smile (caught on camera)
He doesn't like the taste of the medicine....

Poop Explosions and Pee Parties
What a way to wake up in the morning.....
Ollie slept from 10pm until 3am (of course, I was up at 130am, 2am and so on). He ate, went back to sleep, up at 545am and ate and went back to sleep. He was a little fussy and restless at about 7am. Little did I know....
I get up, unzip his onesie and find poop all up the back of him. As I am taking it off, he lets out the biggest fart and poop is all over the bed (new sheets I put on LAST NIGHT) and it hits me in the legs. Then the pee happens! It sprays my face, his face, the bassinet and of course, the bed! I get undressed and him as well and we climb into the bath tub. That's a fun way to wake up a baby!
We get clean, new sheets on the bed and all is well with the world.
For now.
Here are a few pictures from Monday.
Look at me! I fit in newborn clothes now!!!
Playing with her FAVORITE toy EVER....the Barbie that you can wash and color her hair.
