Trying to iceskate

So last night, we went out and bought myself, Evie and Derek some ice skates (used, of course).  We went out today to try them out.  Let's just say, we suck!  Evie really wants to learn but she is terrified of falling on her butt and hurting herself.  She also does NOT like the way I am trying to teach her (I make her go and if she falls, she falls) and Derek is the total opposite.  She had a blast though!

OH!  We finally broke down and bought a second vehicle.  Thank the lord!  Its a 2005GMC Sierra and Derek loves it! No more early mornings for me when I need the car!

A bunch of stuff....

Ollie is getting bigger each day! I can't get over how huge he is now! He is almost 18lbs, my little chunker!  We are working on him sitting up.  He can for a little bit, then lean over (that big 'ol head is hard to keep up!) and then forward.  Sometimes he will bring himself back up, sometimes he plops over!

We went to a wing/pizza showdown downtown the other night.  Eh.  Apparently up north, bland is the way to go!  The wings are okay, just mainly BBQ or tabasco.  The pizza....well...let's just say lamb and tzatziki sauce is NOT good on a pizza!  Evie and Ollie were great there!  Evie tried as many pieces of pizza that she could, my little trooper!

One of our favorite places......the Zoo!

We really lucked out with a nice zoo here in Duluth,  Its small, but just the right size for Evie to walk through, not get tired/bored.  There is a petting zoo, winter animals and some indoor activities every time we go.  We bought a membership back in August and it paid for itself the 2nd time we went.  We love it!  We are going back this Monday for Zoo Tots program and I know she is gonna love it!
